- Serves as primary government point of contract when Distribution Project Manager is not available.
- Assists in managing day-to-day execution and oversight.
- Ensures compliance, performance and reporting requirements are met successfully.
- Designated POC in direct oversight and subcontractor management as directed by Program leadership.
- Shares in overseeing all scheduling of personnel / work supervision / quality control.
- Monitors cost control, financial reports, budgeting, and overall operating costs.
- Recommends, develops, implements, and enforce procedures/programs to increase efficiency and improve cost effectiveness to the program.
- Must have an active Secret government security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent five (5) years of Government or private-sector work experience
- 3+ years of experience in logistics or contingency operations management supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
- One-year previous supervisory experience, preferably in a government contract environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid US or local driver's license and US passport
- As needed, ability to successfully pass any medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of any deployment

About the Role
Culmen International is hiring a Distribution Alternative Project Manager to provide support for the Defense Logistics Agency.
In support of DLA's mission, DLA Distribution is a combat support organization providing a single, unified material distribution system for DoD under DLA management. The DLA Distribution mission is to provide an integrated pipeline that sustains our Armed Forces around the world with innovative and tailored logistics services that are ever improving in terms of cost, timeliness, and relative value. The DLA Distribution vision is to provide best value, competitive distribution services to the war fighter around the world, around the clock. DLA Distribution responsibilities include receipt, storage, issue, packaging, and worldwide transportation of all items placed under its accountability by the DLA and the military services. DLA Distribution also performs distribution services that are unique to a particular customer.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
The Distribution Alternate Project Manager (DAPM) shares responsibility for the performance of work and oversight of all contract matters relating to daily operations of this contract. The position assists the Distribution Project Manager with tracking, reporting, purchasing and other administrative duties. The position is the secondary point of contact if the Distribution Project Manager is not available. This position uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The work is under general supervision of higher-level personnel, including but not limited to, the Distribution Project Manager. The Alternate Distribution Project Manager shall have the ability to deploy globally in support of emerging requirements, within 48 hours of notification.
