- Will oversee distribution & logistics, transportation, and warehousing to assure all requirements are met in an efficient, compliant and safe manner. The work ensures customer demands are met, and high satisfaction levels are maintained.
- Team management- Assure staff are trained and proficient in the function they are supporting and allocate resources to meet the objective of the operation.
- Compliance-Complying with regulations and maintaining GxP documentation, author and manage processes that govern the operations.
- Customer service-Handling customer issues and providing reliable solutions.
- Delivery Management-Planning and organizing transportation, setting delivery schedules, and ensuring on-time services.
- Planning and coordination -Overseeing the movement of people, goods, and vehicles, and ensuring operations run efficiently.
- Safety: Ensuring safe operation of all services through training, audits, inspections, and qualifications/regulations for the operation.
- Maintenance: Directing maintenance and repair of equipment or vehicles
- Contracts: Working with client providers on requirements and management.
- Problem-solving: Investigating and resolving customer difficulties or problems
- Monitor warehouse and storage functionality where items are stored.
- Staying up to date on various transportation regulations, such as those related to freight classifications and hazardous shipping materials or shipments.
- Oversee the entire process of a shipment, from acquisition to delivery.
- Supervise 28,000 sq feet warehouse activities to assure accurate inventory, warehouse standards, inventory review to maximize space and disposition surplus material.
- Ensure effective, safe operations by implementing procedures and policies.
- OSHA Safety Certification preferred
- DOT Certification preferred
- IATA Certification preferred
- Knowledge of logistics/warehouse software
- Great communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Customer Service experience
- Warehouse and distribution operation experience

Join a dynamic team delivering exceptional service to a Fortune 500 Life Science Pharma company. This role will manage a mid-size team of employees across two locations in the Philadelphia area. This position includes overseeing client shuttle transport to local train stations and between company locations, warehouse operations, loading dock receiving, regulated shipping operations, vehicle fleet management, equipment management and location mail operations.
