      We are looking for a District Manager, Retail Sales to help us develop and implement the territory’s strategic plan. As a Trex District Manager, Retail Sales, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to develop and leverage strong business relationships with Key Distributor Contacts at each branch location in the district of responsibility. This role is a key member of our Retail Sales team.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Put safety first – Always!
      • Lead and foster our “people first” culture
      • Execute one work-with in market per rep a minimum of once per quarter.
      • Work-with is expected to be a full day in length. A coaching document with stated goals and objectives to aid development should be completed during each work-with.
      • Establish employee developmental plan at the beginning of the year in collaboration with each direct report.
      • Coach, train and mentor direct reports to improve organizational capability.
      • Conduct mid-year and year-end reviews for each direct report.
      • Within District, develop a relationship will all distributor locations.
      • Develop and leverage key geographic contacts for defined Lowe’s IHC Managers and Home Depot District Managers (DM’s).
      • Develop and execute annual business plan for district, including objectives for everyone on sales team. Plan is designed to focus activity and achieve the district’s sales plan.
      • Drive district focus against pull-through activity and contractor initiatives.
      • Establish and achieve T & E budgets for district.
      • Effectively manage retail co-op funding for each distributor within district.

      DIRECT REPORTS

      Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for a team of 7-10 direct reports, including Territory Account Representatives.

      TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

      This position requires up to 75% travel within the region (average of 15-20 overnights per month). A valid driver’s license is required.

      EXPERIENCE

      We are looking for leaders with a 4-year college degree along with 7-10 years of sales experience with a record of achieving outstanding results. 3 years of key account responsibility and managerial experience are also required. We want to hear from you if you have previous experience as an account manager or sales manager.

      SALARY

      Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually.

      The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
