What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a Fires trainer for Battalion–Division Operations Officers, focusing on battlefield capabilities
- Develop and coordinate training materials, including Scheme of Fires and Field Artillery Support Plans
- Coach units in planning and executing Large Scale Ground Combat Operations exercises
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in military training methodologies and simulation procedures
- Provide feedback and conduct After Action Reviews for collective training events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred
- Minimum of six (6) years of combined staff experience or eight (8) years of specialized MCTSP experience
- Proficient in current Army Fires doctrine and synchronization processes
- Recent experience within the Army National Guard training support system
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous Battalion or Higher Command Experience
- Completion of the Command and General Staff College or equivalent military schooling
