      Summary

      This position is responsible for assisting terminal management with managing drivers. This requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively motivate employees.

      Description

      • Train and give counsel to drivers regarding safety, hours of service requirements, fuel compliance, excessive idling and overall company policies and procedures.
      • Use company tools to perform periodic driver reviews.
      • Manage driver productivity.
      • Maintain proactive communication with dispatch centers
      • Manage on-time service performance of terminal fleet.
      • Ability to meet and exceed company driver retention standards.
      • Advocate and maintain a strong commitment to safety in operations.
      • Coordinate and assure drivers stay current with all DOT, OSHA and Groendyke University training programs.
      • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policy
      • Training new employees

      • All other duties as assigned by management.

      Education and Experience Requirements

      • High School Diploma or equivalent

      Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems

      Additional Preferred Qualifications

      • Knowledge of DOT & Federal Regulations
      • Tanker Industry Experience
