What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure the quality of individualized developmental services provided at the Kids First program
- Support the academic mission of the Kids First program
- Demonstrate professionalism and continued development of skills
- Build relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Administer standardized developmental testing instruments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the following: Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education Certificate, Child Development Associate Certificate, or Birth to Pre-K Credential with 12 hours of experience working with children with special needs and coursework in relevant fields
- Six (6) months documented experience working with children
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of developmental milestones in the birth-five population
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in early childhood development or special education
- Additional certifications in child development or related fields
- Familiarity with standardized developmental testing instruments
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with families
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education
