What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Utilize USGS tools with Seeds of Success data to identify plant materials needs and plan collection priorities
- Update seed collection inventory, test results, and seed storage data
- Perform quality control on native seed collection data
- Produce maps and data visualization tools for reporting and presentations
- Collaborate with the Bureau of Land Management and other organizations on conservation efforts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Botany or related discipline, or relevant education and field experience
- Knowledge of botany, native seed production, and plant propagation
- Experience managing and updating large datasets
- Extensive GIS experience, including use of the Esri suite and spatial analysis
- Strong communication skills and willingness to undergo background checks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience producing maps and data synthesis tables
- Experience with data entry and QA/QC procedures
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
