      Job Summary:

      You love statistical analysis and have experience modeling and forecasting using a variety of data sets. You also have an understanding of macroeconomic developments, with an interest in the health of consumers and small businesses. Join the Consumer & Business Intelligence organization to help derive actionable insight through the lends of JPMC data. As the nation’s largest bank, we are uniquely positioned to inform public perspective on the direction of the economy.

      As an Econometrician, you will help drive the analytics of consumer and business data, through modeling, measure development, and forecasting. You will collaborate with economists, data scientists, and the broader Consumer & Business Intelligence team to shape the narrative about the health of consumers and small businesses.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • You will report to the Chief Economist with the following responsibilities:
      • Analyze a variety of internal metrics to better understand the health of consumers and businesses
      • Model relationships between internal metrics and external measures and benchmarks
      • Develop new indexes and metrics based on internal data
      • Generate forecasts for key business indicators
      • Create tools for event analysis
      • Create data visualizations to enhance storytelling around complex data
      • Collaborate with economists on research projects

      Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

      • 8 + years of relevant experience in highly analytical role, including econometrics or data science
      • Advanced analytical mindset; you love digging into the data and defining what it tells you
      • Strong programming experience and knowledge of statistical techniques; experience with data visualization; experience with one or more of R, Python, SQL, SAS
      • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with all levels of employees
      • Exceptional problem solving skills and ability to adjust to evolving business and financial climate
      • Familiarity with macroeconomic data and concepts
