What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide direct services to program participants in various educational programs aimed at economically disadvantaged and minority youth
- Organize and chaperone field trips to college campuses and cultural enrichment centers
- Develop and conduct educational workshops and presentations on college and career readiness
- Collaborate with local colleges, school staff, and community organizations to enhance college and career access opportunities
- Maintain student case management, including monitoring and compiling records and data across multiple databases
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented and ethnic/racial minority students
- Proven ability to develop or present workshops/information sessions on educational topics
- Experience in recruiting students for programs and managing a caseload
- Familiarity with writing grants, managing budgets, or reporting on annual performance services delivery
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with TRIO or GEAR UP programs
- Background in counseling underrepresented or minority students regarding college and career readiness, financial aid processes, and college application processes
