Job Summary:
The Educational Assistant will assist Instructional Academic Staff in the development and delivery of instructional activities in alignment with Department of Education philosophies within distance learning courses and/or Department of Education programming.
Examples of responsibilities could include:
• Assist in the development and/or delivery of instruction for the online graduate program.
• Creatively plan interactive online activities, tutorials, and/or other resources that encourage learning for students in the graduate program.
• Assist students in becoming familiar with course material, study skills, and university resources.
• Create video tutorials in Canvas from the student view.
• Role model good student behavior and act in a professional manner.
• Provide a student-centered, responsive, and supportive environment for learning and growth.
• Demonstrate inclusive practices that honor diverse perspectives and experiences.
• Promote respectful communication.
• Explore the foundational and philosophical bases within the discipline of education.
• Engage in professional practice grounded in theory and current research.
• Write with professional literature using a documentation style appropriate for a teaching institution.
• Cultivate high-quality educators and instructional professionals.
$10.00 hourly rate.

It will also require your references to answer questions regarding employee misconduct, sexual violence and sexual harassment. The University reserves the right to check references with notice given to the candidates at the appropriate time in the process.
