      Caterpillar is looking to add an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to our Earthmoving Division team. As the EHS Manager for our Brooklyn Park, MN facility, you will have an exciting opportunity to make a difference for Caterpillar people – employees, leaders, and the communities within which we live and work.       What you will do:

      • To provide leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a small to medium facility.
      • Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
      • Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
      • Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
      • Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.

      What you will have:

      Experience: 4-year degree

      5-10 years of related work experience

      Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

      Overcoming Resistance to Change: Understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.

      Interpersonal Relationships and Collaborating: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

      Decision Making, Critical Thinking and Risk Management: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.

      Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model. Supports research and general administrative requirements for our sustainability efforts. Contributes to timely and accurate data collection and analysis at the corporate and site level.
