Job Description

- Ensure that systems are established and implemented to fulfill regulatory compliance requirements for the site and business (right to operate). Strong knowledge and working experience with EU and German occupational health, safety, process safety and environmental regulations as well as industrial hygiene is required.
- Analyzes and evaluates EH&S performance across the site to identify and implement opportunities for improvement
- Develops strategic improvement plans and goals across the site and works to integrate these programs into business operations to promote and stimulate awareness of the EH&S competencies with special emphasis on industrial hygiene.
- Provide EHS guidance to the site to drive a Commitment to Zero culture.
- Conduct 1st Party EHS Audits and work with the leadership team to analyze results to drive continual improvement.
- Coordinate 2nd party audits schedule and execution (PSM, EHS, Fire, Electrical, etc.). Develop and implement plans to resolve any audit findings for PSM, S&OH, Fire, Distribution and Environmental assessments.
- Support injury and illness recordkeeping and case management process; maintain relevant logs and documentation.
- Participate in field auditing and visibility for interactions with employees.
- Provide supervisory guidance and development to all EHS resources to ensure technical/functional and operating skills are current and effective.
- Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S issues.
- Master in a basic science / engineering field or a technical degree in the area of EHS & reg. compliance management with several years of site operations related experience associated with Manufacturing RTO is required for this position.
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English languages is a must
- Strong leadership, people management and development skills in an industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with designing, implementing and maintaining common management systems in view of merging incumbent QMS with a broader range of ISO norms (14001, 45001, 50001, IATF 16949) and other applicable policies & requirements
- Good presentation and communication skills (i.e., to interact with regulatory administrations, certified bodies, 2nd and 3rd Party Auditors)
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines as well as manage change and work independently.
- Strong industrial hygiene competency and environmental knowledge with demonstrated operational expertise and ability to analyze technical and regulatory information and provide prudent recommendations to all levels at the site.
- Networking, influence, and conflict resolution skills with strong focus on deliverables with excellent oral and written skills along with the ability to apply these in the regulatory, advocacy and public affairs culture
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or in the Comprehensive Practice of Industrial Hygiene is a plus.

ROLE DEFINITION
Our Automotive Adhesives & Fluids Production Plant in Schkopau, Germany (Saxony-Anhalt) currently has an exciting opportunity for an EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) Manager to provide technical leadership and direct the environmental, industrial hygiene and safety (EH&S) and Emergency Services and Security (ES&S) activities at their site. The successful candidate will supervise other EHS professionals, provide technical consulting on safety, industrial hygiene and environmental management and work closely with the site Leadership Team, Integrated Health Services, EHS leaders from other site locations and Business EHS leaders. The EHS manager will ensure that programs meet corporate governance and regulatory needs.
