What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement and configure Epic Beaker LIS modules to support laboratory operations across multiple healthcare facilities
- Maintain and optimize middleware systems and instrument interfaces for accurate data exchange
- Collaborate with laboratory staff, vendors, and IT teams to support system integration and workflow alignment
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and interface issues affecting laboratory performance
- Develop and execute validation protocols for new instruments, middleware, and system upgrades
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of six years of progressive experience in business application, business intelligence, or enterprise application consulting or development
- Expert-level proficiency in configuring and supporting Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology modules across multi-site healthcare environments
- Documented experience integrating laboratory instruments using middleware platforms
- Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and state-specific compliance requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced experience in interpreting and applying HL7 and ASTM standards
- Strong analytical background in diagnosing and resolving complex LIS performance issues
- Proven track record of conducting validation and optimization of laboratory workflows
