What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Modify and adapt the curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student
- Write and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to achieve student goals
- Educate parents on various instructional strategies and resources
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings and proctor required testing
What is Required (Qualifications):
- State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and web-based tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional home office
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of classroom experience
- Master's Degree with an emphasis in Special Education
- 3 or more years of classroom experience in Special Education
