      Would you like to be our Energy Regulation Manager ensuring that all our assets operate within and navigate complex and rapidly changing regulatory landscapes whilst ensuring that all operational settlements are managed? Look no further as this is the role for you!

      The opportunity

      Reporting into the Head of Performance & Revenue Optimisation you will manage all operational settlements of generation volumes & certificates.

      • Manage all regulatory audits requested by external stakeholders such as National Grid ESO, OfGem and DESNZ.
      • Manage & develop key interfaces between EDF Renewables UK & Ireland and EDF (UK) on Grid Code, Generation License & Wholesale Market compliance.
      • Support on market registration for new assets.
      • Act as the operational lead in delivery of changes in response to the Government’s Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) consultation.
      • Provide governance and oversight on market risk and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and policies.
      • Up skill internal colleagues by providing regular policy and regulation updates.

      What you’ll be doing

      You’ll provide management of operational activities related to rental forecasting; payments & all account credit positions.

      • Management & administration of all energy market compliance with regulators and Transmission system operators, including but not limited to REMIT & TCLC compliance & reporting.
      • Monitoring of financial risk from trading activities, such as forward hedging and ancillary service bidding. Providing independent challenge to the Revenue Optimisation team.
      • What do you need to be great at this role?
      • You’ll have a relevant academic qualification at degree level or recognised equivalent in addition to;
      • Knowledge and experience of the UK energy market / regulations, energy trading and ancillary service markets operation (Wholesale Markets, Balancing Mechanism, Frequency Response Markets)
      • Knowledge of the policy making process in the UK and ability to understand and synthesise complex regulatory documents.
      • Commercial knowledge of settlements requirements & lease agreements related to renewable assets.
      • Strong experience of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).
      • Strong commercial experience with quantitative and qualitative skills.
      • Experience of the renewable industry sector is essential.
      • Experience of managing a team, promoting new ways of working and thinking.
