- Post Graduate Diploma in leadership or a subject area relevant to the area of practice or be willing to work towards and achieve within the first 2 years

Job summary
We have are keen to recruit a compassionate applicant with professional on a 12 month fixed term contract or secondment to undertake a team manager role within the North East-wide Enhanced Reconnect Service. The postholder will operationally manage the service and work collectively with the Clinical Lead (Consultant Psychologist) and other senior members of the clinical team to ensure compassionate, safe and effective care is delivered.
The Enhanced Reconnect service, based at Lanchester Rd Hospital/HMP Durham Reconnect Hub is one of four national pilots supporting prison leavers assessed as presenting high risk of serious harm who have complex health needs linked with their offending. The service has been operating for two years with an abundance of positive feedback from partners and service users. We are now keen to welcome a team manager to focus on operational management of the service to enable senior clinical members of the team to focus on developing the clinical offer.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will work in partnership with other healthcare providers within the region, including HMPPS and NHS/non-NHS providers. They will have excellent skills in communication, engagement, collaboration and have experience of working in mental health services, preferably with knowledge of the criminal justice system. They will be responsible for operational duties, such as line managing TEWV staff, roster management and gathering/reporting on key governance and performance data. They will work collectively with the team to ensure high professional standards and quality of care.
The post holder will liaise closely with their peer group of team managers in Health and Justice. They will also be supported by a service manager and receive supervision and professional development opportunities.
