      Position Overview

      The Epic Revenue Cycle Billing Apprentice Analyst is a brand new entry level opportunity to join a team responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance and optimization of critical access hospital billing and professional billing solutions and practice management applications deployed across the OCHIN collaborative as well as support other systems used by the EPIC Operations Team. This role will support analyst teams that focus on configuration, technical troubleshooting, and solutions-discovery for OCHIN's members. We offer a robust on-the-job training program to help apprentices reach their goal to be a certified Epic application analys t. **We are hiring 2 apprentice analysts, and the ideal candidates will have prior operational revenue cycle expertise working in a critical access hospitals with a strong desired to growth their skills to become a certified Epic Resolute Revenue Cycle Application Analyst.**

      Essential Duties
      • To be the first line of contact with members of the OCHIN collaborative to help research and coordinate resolution of revenue cycle billing issues
      • Troubleshooting and resolution of issues within application modules in response to user requests
      • Provide support to the Revenue Cycle Analyst Teams
      • Ensure support tickets are complete and communicated to requester as needed
      • Proactively contact members and staff to follow up on technical and workflow issues
      • Develop ability to understand the revenue cycle billing and charging needs of the members
      • Triage incoming calls and communications to determine the priority level and appropriate team
      • Resolving problems with application vendor or other technical support as indicated
      • Attend OCHIN provided training as directed by Epic Revenue Cycle Billing Applications Team
      • Managing user requests according to business needs & priorities
      • Developing working knowledge of current clinical EHR software technologies
      • Travel nationally for off-site software installation and support required up to 25%.
      • Provide elbow support to clinic staff during Go-Lives as needed.


      Requirements

      • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting
      • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in medical billing and accounts receivable experience and third-party reimbursements and or coding in a hospital setting; experience with billing and or coding in a critical access hospital is strongly desired.
      • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience working with EMR systems is required.
      • Medical Coding certification from AAPC (CPC Certified) or AHIMA (CCS Certificate, and current certification from ADCA (CDC certificate) is a plus.
      • Must be proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHRs); experience working in Epic is a plus
      • Must have high aptitude for problem-solving, optimization workflows, and software configuration and a desire to become a certified Epic Revenue Cycle Analyst
      • Must be well-organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      • Must have strong customer service skills and solutions-focused orientation to meet member's workflow needs


      COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

      Work Location and Travel Requirements

      OCHIN is 100% remote organization. Work from home requirements are:

      • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace
      • Travel will be required up to 25% nationally for on-site Go Live support based on business requirements for OCHIN

      Base Pay Overview

      The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint ($65,943), with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
