What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in transportation project reviews and GIS mapping for wetland determination
- Collect and evaluate hydrologic data at wetland mitigation sites for regulatory compliance
- Prepare Phase 1 Hazardous Materials Assessments using environmental databases
- Inspect structures for endangered species compliance with the Endangered Species Act
- Participate in fieldwork and office work to support environmental reviews and project documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Enrollment in a program related to environmental science, ecology, biology, earth science, water resources, or environmental policy
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software
- Strong written and oral communication skills demonstrated through administrative support tasks
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Background in ArcGIS or similar programs is a plus
