What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and execute projects within the employer's program execution framework, including cost tracking and performance metrics
- Define project requirements and technical objectives while overseeing project task teams across multiple disciplines
- Prepare and support the development of project governing work plans and technical deliverables
- Develop strategies for complex technical and regulatory issues and oversee subcontractor management
- Prepare and present project findings to clients, regulatory agencies, and the public
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS or MS degree in a technical discipline with at least 12 years of relevant experience in the environmental field, or an MS degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with RD/RA projects involving landfills and coastal remediation activities
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement with local, state, and federal stakeholders
- Strong management skills in staff, budgets, schedules, and scope
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and effective verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist/Geoscientist (PG) licensure, preferably in Virginia
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with the U.S. Army Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program
