      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Independently perform professional environmental assignments and general specialist duties
      - Ensure environmental compliance with applicable laws and regulations
      - Plan, conduct, and coordinate data collection and analysis
      - Develop project proposals and budget submissions for program areas
      - Support the Environmental Management System (EMS) and related assessment programs

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - One year of experience as an Environmental Specialist 2 or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
      - Two years of professional experience in cultural resource management, environmental analysis, or planning
      - A valid driver's license for the State of Washington
      - Ability to consult with stakeholders regarding assigned responsibilities
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in cultural resource management, archaeology, and historic preservation
      - Familiarity with NEPA/SEPA and ECOP processes
      - Skills in performing complex environmental compliance audits and investigations
      - Knowledge of GIS tools and techniques
      - Experience in reviewing and monitoring environmental permits for local jurisdictions
