      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and implement countywide natural resource and environmental quality programs
      - Coordinate efforts with contractors, department staff, and community stakeholders
      - Analyze and interpret environmental regulations and recommend compliance procedures
      - Prepare grant proposals and manage contracts for funding and program services
      - Conduct community education and outreach initiatives related to environmental goals

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Technical Writing, or a related field
      - Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program specialization areas
      - Valid Texas Driver's License
      - Certification in specialty fields such as HAZWOPER or Arborist Certification may be required
      - Strong technical writing and data analysis skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Fluent in Spanish (verbal and written)
      - Familiarity with local communities in Travis County outside Austin
      - Experience with greenhouse gas inventory and emissions reduction strategies
      - Knowledge of grant guidelines and funding agency procedures
      - Experience conducting community engagement and outreach activities
