      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage hard copy records and electronic data related to the Natural Resources Program, focusing on spatial data for conservation planning
      - Conduct GIS analyses and produce reports for various stakeholders, including government agencies and the public
      - Coordinate with contractors, department staff, and external stakeholders to support environmental programs
      - Develop and implement procedures consistent with environmental regulations and prepare cost estimates for projects
      - Conduct education and outreach initiatives to engage the public on program goals and environmental issues

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Technical Writing, or a related field
      - Minimum of three (3) years of experience in environmental project coordination or related areas
      - Valid Texas Driver's License
      - Knowledge of grant guidelines, procedures, and funding agencies
      - Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data analysis and mapping

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certification in a designated specialty field such as ISA Arborist Certification or Certified Grant Management Specialist
      - Experience in project management and technical writing related to environmental specifications
      - Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
      - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
      - Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences
