      The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners, and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

      Are you an experienced Events Manager willing to help build a better world through sports? Here's your chance to make a lasting impact within the Olympic Movement at the IOC.

      As Events Manager, you'll take the lead in organizing and delivering impactful, high-quality medical conferences and congresses alongside the IOC’s Health, Medicine and Science department. You'll also bring your expertise to a variety of other corporate events, ensuring they leave a mark.

      Main responsibilities:

      • Develop detailed operational, communication and marketing plans and timelines for medical conferences, congresses, and related functions.
      • Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and priorities for each project and its components.
      • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial guidelines.
      • Negotiate event venues and hotel contracts to ensure favourable terms and according to internal policies and procedures.
      • Ensure all logistical elements, including venue selection, catering, technology setup, and attendee management, are flawlessly executed.
      • Oversee and collaborate with external service providers, such as event planners, AV technicians, and logistics companies.
      • Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering seamless communication and collaboration.
      • Work closely with medical professionals, organizational leaders, and other key stakeholders to understand and meet event objectives.
      • Participate in cross-functional steering committee/coordination meetings, defining the exact scope of required event service levels.
      • Provide top-quality customer service and state-of-the-art event operations.
      • Oversee the delivery of hospitality services, ensuring they meet international quality standards and evolving expectations.
      • Monitor and evaluate service quality, implementing improvements to align with IOC strategy and medical community needs.
      • Ensure all events comply with relevant regulations, protocols, and international medical standards.
      • Align event goals with the IOC strategy and broader organizational objectives.
      • Assist in the management and review of medical abstracts and posters, ensuring they align with event themes and quality standards, if required.
      • Monitor provider performance to ensure adherence to contracts, timelines, and quality standards.
      • Collect and consolidate post-event financial aspects, statistics, and recommendations.
      • Make a valuable professional and personal contribution to the success of the IOC Corporate Events & Services team by consistently supporting team goals and collaborating effectively across all projects.

      To be eligible for this role, you need to match the following criteria:

      • Higher international hospitality industry education or equivalent, with proven solid experience in the field of international events and project management.
      • Experience in medical events in considered an asset.
      • Demonstrated experience managing medium- to large-scale, international, top-quality events.
      • Excellent sense of organization, prioritization, and service orientation.
      • Strong expertise managing budget and financial resources effectively.
      • English and French (preferably bilingual), with other languages being an asset.
      • Microsoft Office tools and event-related IT solutions
