Job Description

- Ensures and monitors the quality of event operations for the venue.
- Scheduling of supervisors and team members for events with assistance from scheduling.
- Communicates with staff effectively & timely and keeps the General Manager apprised of all issues.
- Resolves guest related issues addressing needs or concerns as they arise.
- Prepares and submits post event reports.
- Continually monitors venue for safety concerns and communicates with Safety Committee on issues.
- Plans, directs and evaluates and leads the work of team members and supervisors.
- Works in partnership with scheduling/admin team to produce effective staffing.
- Lives the company Mission and Core Values and promotes it in all interactions with staff, clients and patrons.
- Works collaboratively with Corporate Argus; Human Resources, Accounting, Operations etc.
- Oversees invoicing, estimates and reporting prior to event to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develops/maintains effective working relationships with client representatives from venue & attend meetings at the venue as needed.
- Ensures and/or builds events in TMSS 3-months or more in advance.
- Coors Field is 7-month venue for activity. In the off season, work at other Argus facilities will be required.
- Averages 20 billable hours a week annually.
- Must maintain an active Denver Guard License, TEAM and CPR and other mandatory trainings.
- If the position does not have dedicated work space at the venue, the manager will office out of 4001 Fox Street.
General Summary
The Event Manager’s main function is to lead, plan and manage event day operations, primarily focusing on the needs of the client/venue, solving problems, identifying needs and concerns from an operational perspective. In general, ensures the smooth operation of events at the venue.
