      Joby Overview

      Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

      Overview

      As an Event Manager in Joby’s fast-paced environment, you will be primarily responsible for providing event, logistics and project management for the Marketing & Communications team. The ideal candidate is extremely detailed oriented, proactive, collaborative, a strong communicator, and highly organized. The key to your success is the ability to adapt to ever-changing conditions and roll-up your sleeves when needed.

      Responsibilities

      • Planning and executing marketing events (e.g. trade shows, live demonstrations, corporate dinners, etc.)
      • Coordinate logistics, including shipping, registration, attendee tracking, marketing assets
      • Procure and manage vendor services, including contract negotiations
      • Provide onsite support
      • Collaborate with executive teams to ensure internal and external participants at event are prepared
      • Assist team as necessary in hotel and travel arrangements (e.g. hotel blocks)
      • Assist executive assistants with meeting planning during event as necessary

      Required

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
      • Minimum 4+ years of events management experience
      • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects independently
      • Excellent communication skills with ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
      • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
      • In possession of a current passport to support international travel
      • Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
      • Positive attitude and works well with others
      • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, often changing environment with efficiency and accuracy
      • Ability to take initiative and ownership over sometimes ambiguous tasks and situations with little oversight

      Desired

      • Experience with planning both domestic and international events
      • Tech or start-up experience

      Additional Information

      Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $87,800 - $150,700/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
