      How you’ll make an impact:


      As an Events Manager, you join the team as an individual contributor within the Brand team and work closely with a large range of stakeholders across the business to plan, execute and manage Xero’s flagship event series, Xerocon!


      You will lead the event platform optimisation internally, understanding the application of the Xero brand, and execute with initiative and excellence. An important aspect of this role will be establishing and maintaining good working relationships both within the regional marketing and event teams and the wider organisation, specifically regional SLT, HUB, Strategic Partnerships, Ecosystem, Communications, Product Marketing, Education, Global Events, Global Brand, Sales Operations, CX and other groups as relevant.

      What you'll do:
      • Deliver consistency in the way we execute our flagship events by way of creating, updating and rolling out appropriate operating processes
      • Execute the strategy set for our flagship Xero events (currently Xerocon) that defines the required business, community and brand outcomes
      • Maintain strong and constructive relationships with key stakeholders such as executives and regional teams to ensure successful outcomes are delivered
      • Work with stakeholders to ensure consistent registration processes for all Xero events including Xerocon and Roadshows are in place
      • Provide relevant event insights and feedback, supported by data analytics, to the wider brand team, events teams in other regions, and senior leadership team


      Flagship Event (Xerocon) specific responsibilities:
      • Lead end to end management from sales to onsite execution
      • Be a key point of contact for sponsor and exhibitor logistics - this includes exhibitor management, registration, lead capture and check-in's
      • Be a key point of contact for the internal integration team as well as our external suppliers
      • Liaise with sponsors and exhibitors for content used on all platforms
      • Ensure deliverables are executed as per prospectus agreements
      • Manage requirements such as stand logistics, registrations, lead capture, app's and schedules
      • Liaising with venue, agency and suppliers on requirements to provide a #beautiful experience
      • Work closely with the partnership team to deliver for stakeholders
      • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Operations Team to effectively manage event management platform
      • Support troubleshooting and bug fixing within the event management platform - working with the Platform Technology team on integration issues and vendors through any system outages
      • Deliver post event strategic recommendations to the brand team and wider business
      • Review and make recommendations on sponsorship and exhibitor relationships post event


      What you'll bring with you:
      • Prior and demonstrated event management and marketing experience
      • Experience using Salesforce & Event Management software
      • Ability to analyse, interpret and/or compare events results and identify key learnings
      • Proven experience in the delivery of timely and outcome focused events and campaigns
      • Strong project management skills and intuitive attention to detail
      • Excellent time management and communication skills
      • An understanding of end to end activity management
      • Proven ability in partnering with and influencing others by adapting your approach to suit the individual in order to achieve the right outcomes
      • The ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible work environment and switch rapidly from strategy to execution
      • A creative and collaborative mindset along with the ability to self motivate
