      Description

      Events Manager

      JOIN THE SMASH TEAM!

SMASH is Raleigh’s hottest new eatertainment concept — where table tennis, craft cocktails, and chef-inspired eats collide in one electric, high-energy atmosphere. From birthday bashes to corporate takeovers, SMASH is the place for unforgettable private and group events.

We’re looking for a dynamic Events Manager who knows how to sell the fun, lead from the floor, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love bringing ideas to life, and can turn a ping pong tournament into a party — this gig is for you.

Your Mission: Own the Event Experience from Pitch to Party

You’ll be the go-to person for all things private events — prospecting new business, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring each guest leaves with a smile (and maybe a new paddle score to brag about). You’ll partner with the General Manager, sales team, and BOH/FOH leaders to ensure every event hits the mark and boosts our bottom line.

      Here’s What You’ll Do

      • Sell the Experience: Respond to leads, conduct site visits, and create custom event proposals that match guest needs and SMASH’s brand personality.
      • Coordinate Like a Pro: Plan and execute all private and semi-private events from start to finish — managing details like space setup, menus, timelines, and staffing.
      • Lead Shifts: Work as part of the management team by running restaurant shifts, ensuring smooth service, strong team performance, and amazing guest experiences.
      • Be the Face of SMASH Events: Build relationships with local businesses, groups, and repeat customers. Be present and polished before, during, and after every event.
      • Partner with Leadership: Work closely with the GM and kitchen/bar teams to ensure seamless communication, execution, and guest satisfaction.
      • Keep It Tight: Stay on top of event contracts, deposits, timelines, and follow-up. No detail gets by you.
      • Own the Metrics: Meet or exceed event revenue targets, track leads and conversions, and help drive overall guest traffic through creative event promotions.
      • Celebrate the Brand: Ensure every event reflects the SMASH vibe — fun, fresh, and flawlessly delivered.

      What We’re Looking For

      • 2+ years of experience in events, sales, hospitality, or guest services
      • Proven ability to sell, organize, and execute group events (corporate, social, etc.)
      • Polished communication and negotiation skills
      • Strong organizational and multitasking ability — cool under pressure
      • Comfortable working nights and weekends when events are rolling
      • Experience running service shifts in a restaurant or entertainment venue
      • A team player with high energy, creativity, and a strong sense of ownership

      Benefits You’ll Enjoy

      • Competitive Salary + Event-Based Incentives
      • Career Advancement Opportunities
      • Comprehensive Health, Dental, Vision Insurance
      • Company-Paid Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance
      • 401(k) with Company Match up to 4%
      • Paid Time Off & Flexible Scheduling
      • Generous Employee Dining Discounts
      • Lucrative Referral Bonus Program
      • Tuition Reimbursement Program

      Ready to Bring the Party?

If you love hospitality, live for details, and can deliver top-tier events with a smile and swagger, SMASH is ready for you. Come help us make memories, one epic event at a time.
