      Have a craving for a new culinary career?

      Sodexo Live's! Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Chef who will support our portfolio of airport lounges based at Dulles Airport. This Executive Chef will work with our existing teams to continue to elevate the food program/offerings within our lounges. Our culinary teams are creative with working in small spaces and presenting attractive culinary displays. Airport lounges are space for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy food from the self-service buffet. We are seeking a chef who enjoys working with teams and creating memorable culinary experiences.

      The successful candidate will:

      • be responsible for menu compliance, cooking, food production, food quality/presentation, safety/sanitation;
      • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
      • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
      • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standards; and/or
      • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems (Excel Spreadsheets);

      • a supervisory culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends and delegate with confidence;
      • excellent mentoring/leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards;
      • prior culinary experience within a restaurant, lounge or other hospitality-focused venue;
      • strong coaching skills; and/or
      • a passion for food and service.

      Away from the hustle and bustle of the airport, the airport lounges are dedicated spaces for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy chef created dishes or order from the full-service bar which serves premium wine and spirits.

      What We Offer

      Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

      Qualifications & Requirements

      Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
