- Lead, train, and manage all kitchen staff, ensuring consistent performance and growth.
- Develop and implement creative, cost-effective menus for restaurant, bar, banquets, and in-room dining, emphasizing fresh, local ingredients.
- Maintain exceptional food quality, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director on menu pricing, food cost controls, and profitability targets.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, vendor relationships, and kitchen equipment maintenance.
- Ensure excellence in food presentation and guest satisfaction, adapting offerings based on seasonal trends and guest feedback.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and scheduling of culinary staff.
- Drive sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.
- Maintain a visible and hands-on presence in the kitchen and during events.
- 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience in a high-volume hotel or resort environment.
- Culinary degree or formal training from an accredited institution preferred.
- Proven track record in managing kitchen operations, budgets, food cost, and labor.
- Experience in banquet and event production strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe Certification required or obtainable upon hire).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for hospitality and culinary innovation.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Overview
The Executive Chef will lead all culinary operations at our beach resort. This role is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation across our restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and banquet services. The Executive Chef will be a strategic leader, team mentor, and creative force behind a memorable culinary experience that reflects the vibrant flavors of the Gulf Coast.
