- Create and design innovative menus that align with the restaurant’s vision
- Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served
- Develop seasonal and special event menus
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain high culinary standards, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper portion control and adherence to recipes.
- Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor performance and provide coaching for professional development.
- Manage food costs, inventory, and waste reduction.
- Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure profitability through effective cost management without compromising quality.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement food safety protocols
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary arts or a related field is mandatory
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Kitchen Management Operations including budgeting, food control and process optimization
- At least 5+ years of experience in a luxury hotel or similar high-end environment is preferred.
- Prior experience with the Birchstreet System is highly desirable
- Ability to work proficiently with all hotel systems, maintaining a keen attention to detail.
- Compensation: Highly competitive salaries as well as an annual incentive plan for managerial roles at Department Head level
