      SUMMARY

      Brooklyn Basketball brings the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty together to establish a community-first basketball experience. Our goal is to grow the game for participants of all ages through professionally-led clinics and camps, community-focused events, instructional videos, unique basketball content and much more. We are seeking a highly motivated leader to serve as the head of Brooklyn Youth Basketball. This leader will oversee and grow all aspects of the program, building it into a world class basketball academy that serves Brooklynites of all ages and attracts others from around New York and beyond.

      The Executive Director, Brooklyn Youth Basketball, will report to the Chief External Affairs Officer who is responsible for Communications, Community and Government Relations.

      WHAT YOU WILL DO

      • Oversee Brooklyn Basketball Program, including operational elements and business growth opportunities.
      • Lead the team in identifying new areas of growth, engaging new students and partners in the program, and growing the number of students we serve.
      • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the Brooklyn Basketball website into a hub for all programming: in-school, afterschool, clinics, camps, content and more.
      • Work alongside Communications, Marketing and Community Relations to build awareness and attention to the Brooklyn Basketball brand.
      • Build relationships with basketball, education and local communities that will help expand the populations we reach.

      WHAT YOU WILL BRING

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • 8-12 years of increasing responsibilities within operations, business development and/or project management.
      • Interest in basketball and youth development.

      WHO YOU ARE

      • Excel working in a team environment.
      • Must have a passion for the culture of sports as a vehicle through which to lift people up.
      • Possess strong business and operations skills
      • Background in project management, business development, operations and marketing preferred.
      • Deep understanding of data across platforms and how to leverage data for informed decision-making.
      • Supervise and mentor direct reports, fostering career development and growth opportunities with a focus on department and individual goal setting.

      SALARY RANGE

      $180,000 - $200,000

      WORK ENVIRONMENT

      The incumbent will work primarily in an office environment but will be required to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area to attend community events, clinics, etc.
