What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to enhance the human research protection program
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain institutional accreditation
- Provide leadership to Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and support research programs
- Collaborate with various offices to expand participation in clinical trials
- Lead training and professional development for staff and study teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in human subject protections and federal regulations
- Proven leadership in a research institution or academic setting
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with IRB oversight and management in both social/behavioral and biomedical research
- Strong change management experience and abilities in teaching and mentoring
- Familiarity with AAHRPP accreditation processes and relevant professional organizations
- Experience implementing an enterprise IRB system
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIP, CCRC, CRA)
