This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The University Development Office is seeking an Executive Director of Development for Global Fundraising (Executive Director) position. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Development for Individual Giving, the Executive Director will collaborate closely with university stakeholders to cultivate relationships and solicit philanthropic support from donors around the world. This position will also be a key strategic partner in advancing the international programs within the university and UNC Global Affairs within the Office of the Provost. The Executive Director will focus on international donors with gift targets from $100,000 and above.
Duties include, but not limited to:
* Coordinate with university leadership, faculty, and staff to articulate funding priorities, develop compelling cases for support, and create fundraising materials and proposals.
* Partner with prospect research and analysis team to identify new donor opportunities and inform cultivation and solicitation strategies.
* Plan and execute targeted stewardship activities to recognize and engage donors, ensuring ongoing communication and involvement in the impact of their philanthropy.
* Utilize fundraising database systems and other tools to track prospect interactions, document donor preferences, and provide regular reports on fundraising progress and outcomes.
* Stay informed of best practices in philanthropy, higher education fundraising, and international programs to inform strategic decision-making and enhance fundraising effectiveness.About the company
