- Lead a team of analysts responsible for analyzing, measuring, and optimizing our existing financial flows with card payment networks
- Leverage our data to craft revenue optimization strategies, with a focus on spend engagement and interchange management
- Understand and research relevant card payment network rules to maximize revenues and minimize outflows
- Understand and master a broad range of analytics capabilities (Test design, Modeling, NLP analysis, etc.) and how to best apply them to business problems
- Drive excellent practices and technical standards to support the development KPIs and goals for the card business, developing information suites (Dashboards, reports, visualizations) fit for C-level consumption
- Lead analytic projects to develop hypotheses about the future of the business and support strategic decisions by the Card leadership team
- Mentor the talented individual contributors and functional leaders on your team to grow their own analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Work cross-functionally with peers in marketing, card portfolio management, finance and strategy to develop a holistic view of performance and growth opportunities
- Present findings and recommendations for action to senior leaders of the company, and support the individual contributors on your team to do the same for their work
- Partner closely with stakeholders to drive understanding of the data and its use in their business area and across lines of business and functions
- Owns and manages all Risks & compensating Controls related to: Data Quality, Data transformations performed by their team, DataUse and the protection of data used by their team.
- 10+ years’ experience in analytics roles. Experience in Credit Cards is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with the drivers of spend economics in the card business, including credit decisioning and risk
- Demonstrated ability to work and influence decision makers in a fast-paced, matrixed organization, with stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Expertise in working with measurement tools and methodologies across online/offline channels, including multi-touch attribution and A/B testing
- Experience in delivery business intelligence solutions at scale
- Exceptional business intuition and the technical ability to understand, design, and explain complex data architecture
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when explaining technical matters to less technical colleagues
- Exceptional problem solving, and analysis skills combined with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate findings to all levels throughout the organization
- Commendable team leadership and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, initiative and integrity
- Hands on experience in SAS, Alteryx and Tableau, and the development of self-service ‘no code’ solutions is preferred.
As a Director of Interchange Analytics and Reporting Automation, you will be in a critical leadership position, responsible for supporting strategic priorities and translating them into an analytics vision. The team you’ll lead is in charge of delivering our analytics insights on all the financial flows between the card payment networks and Chase.
You will work closely with our all our teams focusing on networks aspects of our business (network business team, strategy, finance) and will be in frequent contact with our network partners (Visa and MasterCard). You will also partner with our teams in Card D&A analytics to bring all our data, analytics and AI capabilities to bear, shifting our manual processes to an automated business intelligence stack, and driving the adoption of more self-service tools.
