      EXECUTIVE OFFICE

      The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ corporate strategy, as well as in preserving the firm’s distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm’s relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring our own people remain informed about the firm’s evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm’s social and sustainability agendas.

      Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firm’s future growth. As such, Goldman Sachs is focused on building a data and technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The Global Marketing team is made up of business specific teams (ex: Asset & Wealth Management Marketing) and a central Executive Office function that leads corporate brand marketing and acts as a center of excellence for key functional areas of expertise. Together, this group collaborates to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings.       About the Strategy, Insights, & Technology team

      The Strategy, Effectiveness & Insights team is a group of expert practitioners within the Global Marketing organization of Goldman Sachs. This team delivers on behalf of the corporate brand & Executive Office while also acting as a center of excellence for marketing work across the firm. Our mission is to serve as stewards of a remarkable Goldman Sachs brand, champions for best-in-class data and technology solutions, and enablers of marketing ROI across the firm. Beyond leading Corporate Brand & Executive office efforts, we consult with our partners in the firm’s business units (e.g. Global Banking & Markets, Platform Solutions, and Asset & Wealth Management) to understand key business questions and marketing objectives, and provide hands-on service and expertise to drive the business forward.

      Responsibilities

      • Lead marketing effectiveness for Global Marketing and manage, grow, and develop a team of effectiveness and analytics professionals
      • Uplevel our approach to measurement and data use across all corporate brand activities - campaigns, content, events, sponsorships, etc. – to quantify and understand our impact on protecting and elevating Goldman Sachs’s reputation
      • Develop a strategic vision for effectiveness that anticipates business questions and empowers stakeholders to make better, data-informed decisions across Global Marketing
      • Leverage advanced analytics to identify insights, crystallize opportunities, unpack drivers, and develop hypotheses to inform action & decisions, both as a leader and practitioner
      • Up-level our iterative testing by instituting a structured, hypothesis driven approach to marketing and content experimentation
      • Aid in the development and adoption of measurement frameworks, data-driven budget decisioning and holistic KPI-setting processes
      • Act as a storyteller to translate findings into concise, actionable insights and deliver compelling narratives for senior leaders that showcase how marketing drives brand & business outcomes
      • Partner with leaders in research to ensure a holistic approach to insight development across the full life cycle of marketing activities at both a campaign & overall strategy level
      • Act as a firm-wide thought leader who pushes the organization to continuously improve what we measure, the methodology behind it, and the goals the data serves
      • Collaborate with marketing analytics and effectiveness leaders across the firm to establish standards, templates, and best practices for marketing measurement, and drive adoption and continuous improvement and a sense of community and cohesion across expert practitioners
      • Partner with MarTech and engineering teams to maintain and further develop Global Marketing’s data warehouse & analytics ecosystem

      Basic Qualifications

      • 10+ years’ experience in an effectiveness/data/analytics role within marketing or media
      • Experience in connecting
      • Strong leadership abilities, with skill in leading through influence and direct management
      • Excellent written and oral communicator with the ability to distill strategic insights into action items and compelling presentations for non-technical audiences
      • Hands-on experience with performance analytics methodologies such as attribution modeling, regression analysis and time series analysis
      • Data visualization proficiency with at least one major visualization tool such as Tableau
      • Experience with web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
      • Ability to set up and analyze social listening queries and Natural Language Processing engines
      • Ability to connect with and establish rapport with leaders across the organization
      • Entrepreneurial and inventive problem solver; curious and passionate about all areas of marketing
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment
      • 4-year college degree

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Preferred experience in financial services and/or demonstrated knowledge of relevant business areas
      • Proven track record of working with senior stakeholders, and developing business relationships internally
      • Preference for working in a fast-paced, agile, high-performance culture
      • Experience using Python or R for statistical analysis

      Salary Range
      The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
