      Objectives of the Position

      • Responsible for the achievement for the Piping material database tasks in a project including conception (frontend loading) basic and detailed design for Piping Specification (Pipe Service Index & Data provision)
      • Creation / Revision of Ordertexts / Technical Datasheets (VC, Pipe Material)
      • Maintain the database for Parts catalogs and Transfer Products from TMMS to SRD and SAP
      • Provides technical guidance to team on Piping database requirements and act as Mentor for GEA India

      Main Tasks

      • To Support basic /Feed enginnering with understandings of Statutory requirements/BASF guidelines. Ensure Project workflow compliance for ensuring quality of deliverables.
      • To Coordinate, monitor & control and supervision of all piping Engineering activities carried out by Engineering partners,
      • Ensure that all mandatory BASF requirements and statsutory requirements are taken care of the design.
      • Supervising/checking or preparing of Basic Engineering documents.
      • Drive Creation / Revision of Ordertexts / Technical Datasheets (VC, Pipe Material) for BASF by self and with engineering consultant team
      • Responsible for functional, on time and within budget technical planning for the technical processing and procurement of database for Piping material scope of the work for the project.
      • Collaborate with clients, EPC contractors as well as all project participants within the BASF Group for defining Piping material requirements on the project.
      • Closing of piping database activities, approval of engineering consultant timesheets for assigned projects.
      • Ensuring completeness of as-built documentation and records and hand over to site engineering.
      • Establish local know-how and market contacts in the relevant area of responsibility and share with other/new project teams in BASF Asia Pacific and globally.
      • Support and coordinate with other disciplines regarding Piping database requirements.
      • Track project-specific targets for the assigned responsibility within the framework of the project design and implementation into planning.
      • Responsible for costs, quality and schedule within project frame for assigned tasks.

      Minimum Education and qualification required for the Position

      Education: Bachelor degree in engineering

      Working Experience: 2-4 Years of experience in related field

      Technical & Professional Knowledge:

      Core skills:

      • Extensive experienec in Creation / Revision of Ordertexts / Technical Datasheets (VC, Pipe Material), Parts catalogs
      • Experience with Transfer Products from TMMS to SRD and SAP
      • Basic understaidng of Piping Specification (Pipe Service Index & Data provision), Pipe Service Index, Data for P&ID, Data for 3D-Tools (incl. Valves Models), Techn. Data Sheets for Special Material, Consulting for Valves, Pipe Material and Interfaces
      • Basic understaing of Portfolio Management (Monitoring of Pipe Material, Manufacturers and standardization committees, Advice and recommendation for BASF-Committees, Adaptation of existing standards)
      • Should have good knowledge on Layout engineering and stress analysis.
      • Skilled in relevant software/tools like SRD, and databases mandatory
      • Experience in cross border project execution

      Job-related preferred skills:

      • Skilled in (chemical) project engineering/plant design preferable
      • Skilled in Cost engineering preferable
      • Planning and Scheduling skills will be an advantage

      Soft skills:

      • Fluent written English and verbal communication skills mandatory
      • German speaking skill have added advantage
