What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client interests and mission requirements to inform research and reporting
- Evaluate potential foreign language media sources and conduct topical research to synthesize and summarize findings
- Prepare written reports in English adhering to client style and translation standards
- Utilize client-specific tools and workflows to enhance efficiency
- Meet strict deadlines, including same-day deliverables
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency at least 3/3+ (ILR) level in Japanese, with some positions requiring 4/4+ proficiency
- Subject matter expertise in international topics such as climate change, global health, politics, and counter terrorism
- Experience in open-source research, social media analysis, and proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree with five years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC)
