      Job Summary

      The Family Parent Partner is responsible for establishing and implementing support services for children and families. They serve as a liaison for family involvement and offer support tailored to each family's needs.

      Essential Functions

      1. Serve as the consumer representative, ensuring advocacy and support services to participating families.
      2. Engage and provide skill-building to youth and families as assigned.
      3. Support families in entering services and develop program systems promoting family-centered services.
      4. Inform families about mental health and social service resources and develop community resources as needed.
      5. Assist in developing support groups and coordinate scheduling and transportation.
      6. Participate in consumer advocate training and recruit for involvement in committees.
      7. Advocate for families and serve as a role model in the wraparound process.
      8. Contribute to program evaluation and document services according to requirements.
      9. Meet service time standards and perform other duties as assigned.

      Minimum Requirements

      • High school diploma/GED.
      • Former consumer, caregiver, or relative of a child who received services from a child-serving agency.

      Position/Program Requirements

      • Reliable transportation and meeting driving requirements if using a personal vehicle.
      • Physical and mental fitness, willingness to undergo TB and drug screening, background check, and obtain First Aid and CPR certifications.
      • Flexibility to work varying schedules and respect for cultural diversity.

      Physical Requirements

      • Mobility to work in various environments, perform CPR and First Aid, and travel as needed.
      • Ability to use computer and telephone systems effectively.

      Additional Details

      • Entry-level, full-time position in the Mental Health Care industry.
