What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support and guidance to military-connected parents and caregivers navigating behavioral health and social services
- Conduct strengths-based assessments to identify challenges and develop actionable plans for families
- Educate families about community resources and advocate on their behalf with relevant stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops and engagement opportunities for military families to foster support networks
- Maintain accurate documentation of services delivered and represent the organization at various committees and boards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Personal, lived experience as a parent or primary caregiver to an individual with a behavioral health challenge
- Personal, lived experience as a veteran, military member, or spouse of a veteran or military member
- Reside in PG or Anne Arundel County
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or professional experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience assisting families in obtaining appropriate services and supports
- Familiarity with public speaking and community outreach
- Ability to build productive partnerships with agencies and providers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while being a team player
- Willingness to learn how to use a database (Salesforce)
