What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide disease state and therapy management education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Assess individual needs of patients and caregivers, offering ongoing support throughout their treatment journey
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to communicate educational opportunities and resources
- Lead caregiver speaker programs and attend community events to enhance outreach and education
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all interactions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in life sciences preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, patient access, or specialty pharmacy
- At least 2 years of experience in patient support, education, or leadership roles
- Strong understanding of rare diseases and experience with patient education strongly preferred
- Ability to travel up to 70%, depending on territory
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in patient/caregiver education and advocacy strongly preferred
- Background in account management preferred
- Demonstrated success in leading initiatives without formal authority
- Experience working directly with healthcare provider offices or similar pharmaceutical support programs
- Strong history of successful cross-functional collaboration
