What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) simulations using ANSYS or similar tools
- Analyze and validate crane structures, lifting beams, and heavy mechanical systems
- Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation
- Lead mechanical design from concept through testing and field implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and generate engineering reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with 10+ years of FEA experience, or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) with 5+ years of FEA experience
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in cranes, lifting systems, or heavy equipment
- Advanced FEA experience, preferably with ANSYS
- Strong background in structural mechanics and load-bearing systems
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Pro/E/Creo
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience designing cranes, hoists, and high-capacity structures
- Familiarity with hydraulic or mechanical powertrain systems
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME B30 or API
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, testing, or field commissioning
- Experience in offshore, industrial, or construction lifting environments
