What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee all phases of civil projects, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
- Develop comprehensive project plans and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead, motivate, and mentor project teams while ensuring effective communication among stakeholders
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management, specifically in federal construction
- Proven experience managing civil projects and crews effectively
- Strong understanding of construction methods, cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS applications)
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations (OSHA)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D software
- Verifiable civil field experience (e.g., Superintendent or Crew Foreman)
