What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary customers to drive sales of diagnostic products
- Independently manage your territory to increase recurring diagnostic revenue and achieve quarterly sales targets
- Educate and train veterinary clinic staff on IDEXX products, services, and marketing initiatives
- Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to the marketing organization and business unit manager
- Attend trade shows and educational events to promote IDEXX's offerings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing an outside sales territory
- Experience in the veterinary/animal health industry, human healthcare, medical device sales, or capital equipment sales
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative sales environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively, including overnight trips
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in veterinary sales and familiarity with veterinary clinic environments
- Willingness to relocate within the assigned territory
