What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan sales activities through market analysis to identify target customers and implement company strategy
- Schedule and conduct productive customer visits with clear agendas and objectives
- Engage in active listening to understand customer needs and requirements
- Negotiate agreements with customers and business partners to achieve optimal solutions
- Document and report sales activities, including test reports, cost savings, and business forecasts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or business administration with a technical focus, or an A.S. degree with equivalent experience in the cutting tool industry
- Several years of sales experience in industrial cutting tools focusing on new business development OR manufacturing experience with the ability to sell in end-user and channel sales models
- Experience in the manufacturing or distribution marketplace
- Proven ability to work independently from a home office or virtual environment, with significant travel
- Valid Driver's License and residence in the Louisiana area
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Walter Business & Technology and relevant software tools
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to give effective presentations to diverse audiences
- Previous experience in territory management and customer relationship building
- Ability to advise customers effectively on product and service offerings
