What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Proactively participate in pre-sales activities, assessing data infrastructure solutions for compatibility and performance
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to communicate customer needs and recommend product enhancements
- Present and demonstrate transceiver solutions at customer sites, showcasing their technical advantages for data networks
- Troubleshoot customer issues with switch gear and transceivers, recommending necessary configurations for compatibility testing
- Support the sales team by leveraging technical knowledge of transceiver technologies to assist customers in selecting appropriate solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Sales support experience in the information technology or data center industry, with Optical Fiber cabling and connectivity experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) and experience with Salesforce.com preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with multiple groups within the company
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment, with strong organizational and planning skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with AutoCAD and Visio or similar design software
- Long-haul metro network experience is a plus
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Concern for quality deliverables and urgency in fulfilling customer and Sales Team requirements
- Visionary and strategist capabilities for the solution product area
