What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Originate mortgage loans in an assigned market and take applications for processing
- Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval
- Follow up to secure necessary documents for processing, underwriting, and closing
- Engage in making and soliciting loan sales away from employer locations
- Spend at least 50% of time conducting sales-related activities off-site
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically at least one year of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience
- Ability to travel as needed
- Basic understanding of pricing and underwriting requirements of mortgage insurance
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Well-developed sales ability
- Working knowledge of underwriting requirements for various mortgage programs
- Basic knowledge of local, state, and national laws related to real estate
- Ability to analyze financial information effectively
- Established referral base within assigned market preferred
