      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and analyze LACERA's investment portfolio, making recommendations for management and administration
      - Evaluate and monitor the performance of current contract investment management companies
      - Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluate responses
      - Conduct site inspections of LACERA-owned properties and assist in preparing reports for the Board of Investments
      - Determine asset allocations to contract management companies based on evaluations

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field AND two (2) years of responsible investment management experience
      - OR a Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
      - OR two (2) years of experience at the level of Finance Analyst I, LACERA
      - Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
      - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience conducting investment manager due diligence and monitoring external investment managers
      - Ability to prepare visually effective presentations for decision-making bodies
      - Experience negotiating terms with investment managers and third-party service providers
      - Familiarity with collaborating on cross-asset-class project teams
      - Participation in asset class investment committees contributing to investment recommendations
