      Position title: FDO Finance Business Partner (FBP)

      Department: Diagnostics Global Operations Finance Business Partnering, Sub Chapter Reagents USA (FDOOU)

      The transformation of Diagnostics Finance for Global Operations, Quality & Regulatory and Sites (FDO) has at its core the desire to create a lean finance organization that embraces flexible ways of working and interfaces seamlessly with other parts of finance and all Diagnostics business units, while bringing strong value to our key stakeholders. To create the organization with a strong, strategic business partnering focus, where we act as one team with focused resources and optimized processes, data and tools, we need to think and act differently. The new organization, through its lean and agile network and chapter structure, will enable us to achieve our shared ambitions.

      Job Summary:

      As FDO Finance Business Partner for Global Operations in the US, you play a key role in driving short and long term financial performance. You support your business partners by providing an unbiased point of view, supported by facts and evidence. You provide insights on financial aspects and influence decisions directly or indirectly.

      In the role as Finance Business Partner you will:

      • Act an independent sparring partner to the business and provide an unbiased point of view on the performance, supported by facts and evidence

      • Be responsible for designated Global Operations areas with regards to the P&L (focus on Cost of Sales), Headcount, Inventories (including write-offs and reworks), as well as Capital Expenditures

      • Perform in-depth inventory, expense, and investment analyses, that create actionable insights and a clear storyline for stakeholders

      • Drive decision making by helping the respective leadership teams identify value- adding opportunities

      • Provide meaningful input and insights as part of monthly closing and forecasting, for example on manufacturing variances and inventory write-offs

      • Coordinate and drive planning and forecasting activities while balancing budgeting simplifications with robust, fit for purpose information

      • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues and business partners

      • Drive collaboration and deliver high value-added insights that help the organization make good strategic decisions

      • Steer and manage global projects in operations finance and adjunct chapters, bringing together capabilities and strengths across sites

      • Have a solid understanding of the Diagnostics system and reporting landscape

      Who You Are:

      • Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related discipline; master’s degree preferred

      • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience

      • Broad finance knowledge and a proven track record in finance business partnering

      • Entrepreneurial mindset paired with excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills

      • Conceptual thinker with strong business acumen and customer orientation

      • Strong analytical, quantitative and organizational capabilities

      • Excellent skills in spreadsheet tools and presentation software as well as knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP); experience in manufacturing accounting/controlling is considered a plus

      • Confidence in leading and navigating complex topics and global projects

      • Intrinsic drive and desire to pilot disruptive ideas

      • Creative problem-solving mindset paired with the skillset to effectively challenge, coach and motivate colleagues

      • Ability to work independently and as part of a (cross-functional) team, bringing agile ways of working, empowered decision making and growth mindset to life

      • Capability to engage with stakeholders on their expectations to influence them and gain support for your ideas.
