Finance Business Partner up to £60k plus benefits.

Fancy a role where you get to join a Commercial Finance Team providing robust financial support and guidance for a business that’s a national leader in its industry?

How about a role where you get lead the management and control of budgets up to c£50m.

This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Here is a little more meat on the bones in terms of what you’ll be doing…

• Support the Technology and Leadership teams in analysing and reporting the financial performance of the functions and in evaluating any new plans, initiatives and contract changes to ensure that all major decisions are taken with sufficient understanding of their financial consequences

• To drive planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and outcomes

• To proactively challenge and support both the Technology and Leadership teams to improve performance and manage risks and opportunities as they arise

• To develop, maintain and present periodic reporting (eg. management accounts, dashboards and project finance trackers) and communicate actual expenditure versus budget/forecast to the Leadership teams, operating company management teams and the senior leadership of the business

• Financial control and reporting of capital spend

Here comes the “what we need from you” bit…

• Experience as a Finance Business Partner, ideally from a large multi-operation environment

• Experience of Fixed Term Contracts and ability to hit the ground running

• Qualified Accountant

• Self-starter with proven communication skills and confidence to effectively deliver clear messages across different levels of a large business

• Ability to exercise independent professional judgement within an overall business context

• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves, find solutions and work well with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Excel and proven ability to build and develop complex models

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills

• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL and Tableau an advantage

• Experience in a reporting/budgeting role within a commercial organisation, and the subsequent monitoring of actual versus plan, would be an advantage, as would experience in business partnering with IT and or Central Functions

Salary up to £60k plus bonus +benefits

This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, with a generous handover period planned with the current Finance Business Partner.
