      We are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner based within our Head Office in Peterborough. The position is permanent.

      The role

      Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will have autonomy on all aspects of gross margin analysis, reporting, delivering value adding insights to the business to lead and drive efficiency programmes.

      This role acts as a key point of contact between the finance team and the commercial excellence team, to understand and challenge revenue assumptions and their impact on profitability.

      The role also covers pricing compliance including audit of base prices, discounts and pricing agreements along with monthly analysis of purchase price variances.

      Responsible for day to day short and long term stock volume forecasting, working closely with key stakeholder groups in both the UK and Denmark to ensure accuracy.

      The Finance Business Partner will also assume responsibility for project work within the finance team including but not limited to process improvement / automation, transition to Power BI and tax compliance programmes such as Plastic Packaging Tax reporting.

      All transactional processes (AP, AR, GL & Expenses) are outsourced to the Coloplast Business Centre in Poland.

      Duties and accountabilities:

      • Ensures pricing in ERP system is accurate including audit of pricing, discounts and pricing agreements input by pricing analyst
      • Quarterly submission of reimbursement prices to Global
      • Line management of Pricing Analyst
      • Management of pricing compliance process
      • Provides cover for pricing analyst
      • Review of annual non corporate standard costs
      • Responsible for gross margin forecasting on a quarterly and annual basis
      • Provide gross margin reporting of actuals and analysis of variance to forecast
      • Analysis of purchase price variance (PPV) and producing summary reports for management on variances and actions required / taken
      • Day to day responsibility of stock volume forecast, acting as a business partner with Marketing and Demand Planning on future product demand
      • Monthly reconciliation of stock volume forecast against rolling revenue forecast including presentation to Head of Finance and Business Support Director for sign off
      • Act as a business partner for a variety of Finance projects
      • Participates in future rollouts for new finance tools/automation
      • Assists in creating and updating KPI’s for the finance area and the company as a whole
      • Performs ad hoc and special project analysis as needed

      Experience & Personal Characteristics

      • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualified) or equivalent experience
      • Good MS Excel skills required
      • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines a must
      • Organized and detail oriented
      • Self-motivated
      • Excellent Business Partnering Skills
      • Strong communication skills
